Festival del Tamborito, one of the most vibrant celebrations of Afro-Colombian cultural heritage on Colombia’s Pacific coast, returned in 2026. Co-produced with LiberArte, the festival is rooted in the traditions of the communities of Nuquí, the festival honors generations of music, dance, storytelling, and ancestral knowledge while bringing together artists, families, and visitors from across the region.
Festival del Tamborito is centered on the powerful rhythms of _tamborito_, a traditional musical form deeply embedded in the identity of the Afro-Colombian and Indigenous communities of the Chocó region. Through live performances and community gatherings, the festival highlights the living traditions that continue to shape the social and cultural fabric of Nuquí.
