The 3rd Annual Latinx Arts Festival & Book Fair, “Unbound: Resilience, Artistry & Hope,” welcomes LiberArte's Yura Sapi as a featured artist — with an original song performed alongside Amado Espinoza.

⭐️ The Latinx Arts Festival welcomes ⭐️

Yura Sapi as a featured artist at this year's program titled “Unbound: Resilience, Artistry & Hope.”

Yura is an Indigenous Kichwa, Ecuadorian-Colombian interdisciplinary artist who blends Andean cosmology, performance, and multilingual storytelling to explore migration, memory, and belonging. An Echoing Green Fellow with degrees from Boston University and CUNY Brooklyn College, Yura leads the nonprofits LiberArte (NYC) and Fundación Protectores de la Tierra (Colombia) while developing the musical project Wayrakuna.

  • Friday & Saturday, October 9 & 10 — Nassau Community College

Original music: “Kallarinshun”

Original song “Kallarinshun” by Yura Sapi & Amado Espinoza — the same collaboration that opened at Noche Andina this August, sung in English, Spanish, and Kichwa.

“Unbound, Latinx Arts Festival & Book Fair” celebrates the limitless spirit of Long Island's Latinx/Afrolatinx community by weaving together bilingual literature, music, and visual storytelling. This immersive experience fosters deep connection, empowers local voices, educates, and ensures our cultural legacy remains irrepressible — an annual cultural experience for the whole family.
