We’re so excited to welcome you Saturday, July 26th, 12-8pm, to the Afro-Diasporic Ocean Festival 2025 at Rockaway Beach Amphitheater! Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive:
🚗 Transportation & Parking
- 🚇 By Subway: Take the A train to Beach 90th Street and enjoy a short walk to the Amphitheater.
- 🚌 By Bus: Ride the Q22 or QM16 to Rockaway Beach Boulevard & Cross Bay Parkway.
- ⛴️ By Ferry: Hop on the NYC Ferry from Wall Street or Sunset Park and hop off at Beach 108th Street. Walk to Beach 94th Street, or take the free shuttle bus to Beach 96th Street and walk over.
- 🚗 Driving? Limited parking — arrive early or carpool! Free street and public lot parking with limited availability. Paid lot available at 108th St and Beach Channel Dr.
🌤 Weather & What to Bring
- It’s expected to be warm and sunny—perfect for a beachside gathering!
- Bring sunscreen, hats, reusable water bottles, and beach-friendly clothing.
- Portable charger – keep your phone powered for the moments you’ll want to capture
- Cash & cards – support our local vendors offering food, art, and magic
- Most of all: bring your joy, your presence, your community spirit
🏖 Festival Essentials
- Public Restrooms: Located in NYC Parks building next to the amphitheater.
- Accessibility: The Rockaway Beach Amphitheater and boardwalk are ADA accessible — with ramps to the stage, restrooms, and beach areas. The venue is wheelchair-accessible.
- Family-Friendly: This is a family-friendly event! Kids are welcome. A shaded family area with arts & crafts and childcare activities will be available.

- 🌍 4 PM – Powerful Panel Discussion hosted by AfroLatino Forum
- 🎤 5 PM – Poetry by Julissa Emile, voice of softness, power & liberation
- 🎶 5:15–6:30 PM – LIVE MUSIC from our radiant artists:
