Queens, NY — April 19, 2025 — LiberArte Inc. is excited to spotlight the Quarantine Residency, a transformative artist residency by Claudia Alick of Calling Up Justice. Designed for artists and culture bearers who are immunocompromised, disabled, or seeking alternative approaches to production and community, this radical program offers a model of care, equity, and accessibility that reflects the future we are co-creating.

Located in the Bay Area, the residency was created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic as a way for artists to have a safe and supportive space to create and rest. Claudia, who is disabled and quarantining for safety, founded the residency with the belief in the value of both digital and in-person collaboration.

Quarantine Residency reimagines how we support artists outside the dominant structures that often exclude marginalized communities. This artist-led experience embodies the values that LiberArte holds dear: honoring ancestral wisdom, celebrating collective creativity, and disrupting the status quo with love, art, and imagination.
