LiberArte Inc. is proud to support _The Rosemead Incident_ , a thought-provoking short science fiction film produced by filmmaker Zoe Tamara and directed by Mexican-American director Cesar Cervantes. The film explores identity, belonging, and the emotional realities of the immigrant experience.
_The Rosemead Incident_ tells the story of Kevin Chen, an immigrant who believes he is a bona fide alien living on Earth. When he convinces a documentary crew to film his long-awaited reunion with his extraterrestrial family, a decades-old conspiracy theory resurfaces.
Through its imaginative premise, the film examines the ways people construct personal narratives to cope with isolation, displacement, and the search for belonging. While humorous and mysterious at times, the story also reflects the deeper emotional truths faced by many immigrants navigating unfamiliar environments while holding onto memories of home.
