International Artist-in-Residence

Artist-in-Residence Interest Form

Place-based residencies for artists to create, connect, and exchange ideas across borders, cultures, and traditions.

LiberArte’s Artist-in-Residence program is a co-created experience designed to uplift visionary artists who are using their creativity to advance climate, racial, and social justice. Rooted in ancestral wisdom and collective liberation, this residency supports artists in building community-rooted projects and expanding their global impact.

Each residency is designed collaboratively—with support shaped around your needs, your work, and your community. That support may include:

  • Producing a New York area tour or cultural exchange
  • Helping organize a festival or program in your home region
  • Grant writing, fundraising, and communications
  • Professional media and promotional resources
  • Cross-cultural collaboration and artistic development

Our inaugural residency with Afro-Colombian music group Tambacum (Nuquí, Chocó, Colombia) helped them co-produce their first U.S. tour, build visibility through media support, and revive a community festival back home—ultimately leading to an invitation to perform at the United Nations COP16.

We are currently gathering interest for future residencies and invite artists from across the world to share their work and vision with us. Ready to co-create something powerful? Let’s begin.

🔔 Please note: We will not be able to respond to every submission. If there is alignment, we will reach out as opportunities develop.
