Alexandra Peek

Alexandra Peek is a community herbalist, end-of-life death doula, and entrepreneur whose work is guided by a deep belief that the new world requires systems that operate from the inside out. After a decade in the legal, policy, and corporate climate sectors, she transitioned away from institutional systems to honor a path rooted in healing, ancestral knowledge, and collective transformation.

Her earlier work spanned community organizing around environmental, racial and economic justice in Texas, climate and energy research across the Global South, and leadership in environmental and climate justice strategy.

These experiences affirmed her commitment to practices that nurture sovereignty, cultural revival, and community-led futures. Originally from the Chihuahuan Desert, Alexandra’s current work centers on the impacts of climate change on desert landscapes and peoples, exploring what healing, resilience, and care mean for communities shaped by aridity, migration, and survival. Today, Alexandra’s work integrates herbalism, death care, and systems design to help communities regenerate relationships—with the earth, lineage, and each other. She holds a Master of Science in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin.
