Yara Aly

Yara Aly (she/her) is an arts administrator committed to supporting mission-driven initiatives, blending expertise in arts administration and media production. Her recent support in LiberArte's programs includes assisting in managing the U.S. tour of the Afro-Colombian music group, Tambacum; assisting in producing the 2024 and 2025 Afro-Diasporic Ocean Festival; and producing season five of Building Our Own Tables. She continues to actively support LiberArte's mission of creating abundant futures through the arts, demonstrating her ability to manage multifaceted projects.

Yara’s hands-on experience in media and arts administration stems from her roles as part of being a Reel Works alum and a Pentacle alum. She gained production and administrative experience, with projects such as directing the social media documentary Kings Kid Fitness (2024); assisting in a feature-length documentary in an archival production role; and producing a documentary for a professional dance theatre company and nonprofit and assisting their development team. 

Additionally, her artistic portfolio includes two experimental poetry films, Sky and Sea, with German filmmakers Alina Cyranek and Geeske Hanßen. These works have been screened internationally in Berlin, Leipzig, Weimar, and on MDR Fernsehen between 2019 and 2022.
