LiberArte Seeks NYC-Based Music Ensemble for 2026 Collaboration

Rolling Deadline Through September 1, 2025

Queens, NY — August 22, 2025— LiberArte is excited to announce a Call for Collaborators: a unique opportunity for a New York City–based small music ensemble to co-create a transformative artistic project for 2026. We are seeking an ensemble working in jazz, classical, or world music, made up of 2–10 musicians, to join forces in applying for Chamber Music America’s Artistic Projects Grant.

This collaboration will highlight the power of the arts at the intersections of racial, social, and climate justice. Potential outcomes of the project include commissioned compositions, live performances, or professional recordings—crafted together and rooted in the values that define LiberArte’s mission.

“We’re looking for an ensemble whose artistry amplifies the kind of world we’re building: joyful, abundant, and in harmony with each other and Mother Earth,” says Yura Sapi, LiberArte’s CEO.

Together with the selected group, LiberArte will co-write a competitive CMA Artistic Projects Grant, requesting funding between $7,500–$20,000 to support the production, documentation, and public presentation of this collaborative work.
