Barranquilla, Colombia – November 11, 2024 – We are thrilled to announce the open call for participants in the LGBTQIA+ DJ Training Program in Barranquilla. This program aims to empower LGBTQIA+ individuals interested in DJing by providing them with the necessary tools to advance in the music industry and create inclusive spaces where they can thrive as artists.

Who Can Apply?
This program is open to individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community in Barranquilla who are genuinely interested in learning DJing and music mixing. No prior experience is required, just a passion for music and a desire to create a positive impact in the industry.

Selection Criteria:

• Gender identity and sexual orientation within the LGBTQIA+ community.
• Interest and motivation to learn DJing.
• Commitment to attend all sessions and participate in the graduation party.
• Positive, collaborative, and respectful attitude within an inclusive space.
• Motivation to continue developing as a professional DJ in the industry.

Program Dates:
The program will consist of 4 sessions of 3 hours each, held from 6 PM to 9 PM on the following dates:

• November 14 and 21
• December 5 and 12

The program will conclude with a graduation party on December 14 at @distrito_baq, the venue where most of the classes will take place.

Upon completion, selected participants will receive a stipend of 150,000 COP for their participation and performance throughout the program. They will also receive a certificate and the opportunity to present their DJ sets at the graduation event.

A Transformative Project:
This program provides not only technical training in DJing but also resources to help participants establish themselves as professionals in the music industry. In addition, they will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced DJs, who will offer practical advice and career support.
