The Speed of Need 22nd Annual Conference for Conflict Resolution

Posted on May 11, 2023

The Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York (ACR-GNY) has announced the 22nd Annual Conference set to take place virtually on Zoom.

This year's conference, titled "The Speed of Need," will explore the role that speed plays both in our individual practices and across the field of conflict resolution.

The virtual conference will feature live sessions and a virtual conversation with this year's honoree, Special Envoy Jessica Stern. Additionally, there will be a special in-person event on May 30th co-sponsored by CUNY Dispute Resolution Center at John Jay College.

LiberArte will present session of their signature course R(evolutionary) Organizational Structures, on May 30th at 12:55pm ET. The event is aimed at individuals who are looking to create a more liberated structure for their community group, as an alternative to traditional organizational structures that may leave some members feeling unheard and undervalued.

The session will provide a comprehensive exploration of biomimicry and nature as our teacher, welcoming feedback processes, and liberated decision-making strategies that prioritize collective liberation. Attendees will be guided through a process of designing a truly liberated organizational structure for their group, using a combination of healing arts, writing, meditation, and visualization exercises.

The expert facilitators, LiberArte's CEO, Yura Sapi and President, Christiamilda Correa will lead the session to help participants discover new ways of engaging with their community, working together, and sharing responsibilities. By attending, participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to transform the way their community functions and be a part of the movement towards a more equitable and just society.

The event promises to be enlightening and informative, providing attendees with the tools to create a more inclusive and effective organizational structure for their community group. Anyone interested in attending can register for the conference today through the ACR-GNY website.

R(evolutionary) Organizational Structures is an opportunity for individuals to learn how to create a more liberated structure by utilizing biomimicry and nature as our teacher, welcoming feedback processes, and liberated decision-making strategies towards a more equitable and just society.

ACR-GNY is offering several ways to support the conference and get involved, including attending the virtual conference, registering for the in-person event, sponsoring the conference (with options for every budget), and volunteering at the conference.

Overall, the ACR-GNY 22nd Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity to explore the role of speed in conflict resolution and engage with professionals in the field. Participants can attend virtually and there are many ways to get involved and support the conference.
